Rimac, Peru Project

In 2006 ORC began its ministry in Peru by working with the underprivileged children in a slum district of Lima, Peru called Rimac. We were blessed to partner with Pastor Jerry Urrego and Mision Cristiana Carismatica El Camino to begin helping the children within the city as well as from the surrounding mountains. Warm, nutritious lunches and medical care began to benefit approximately 100 children.
Additionally, ORC provided the project with funds to provide three adolescents the opportunity to obtain a college-level vocational education. These bright young adults have been outstanding role models for the younger children. They have been helping to lead praise and worship during church services, working in the kitchen and feeding center, and also providing puppet shows and Sunday school Bible stories for the little ones.
God provided the funds for the project to move to a new location at the end of September 2009. We will be updating this page and our web site with more information and pictures when they are available.
